COREY LAYNE, PSY.D.

Corey Layne, Psy.D., is a school psychologist and an educational consultant providing consultation and training to teachers, administrators and parents. Dr. Layne has assisted local and state education agencies in restructuring schools in positive ways when the educational movement called for greater accountability at every level. She is skilled at utilizing techniques for linking assessment to interventions when consulting with teachers to enhance the classroom performance of students. Dr. Layne has trained mental health professionals and educators throughout the United States on executive functioning assessment and intervention, Response to Intervention (RtI), collaborative problem solving, data-based decision making, program evaluation, counseling, bullying prevention/intervention, anxiety, substance abuse, attention-deficit hyperactivity, post-traumatic stress disorders and developing academic and behavioral interventions. In addition, Dr. Layne has taught an undergraduate course in academic study skills at Marshall University and Strayer University; undergraduate psychology courses at Ashland Community College, Strayer University, and Clayton State University; and a graduate education course at Strayer University.
