NANCY POTTER, PHD, CCC-SLP

Nancy Potter, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is an associate professor at Washington State University in Spokane. Dr. Potter is an experienced clinician who has worked in public schools, university clinics, hospitals, private practice, and tele-practice settings. Her federally funded research program is focused on identifying and treating motor speech disorders in children and adolescents. Dr. Potter has published and presented her research nationally and internationally. She and her colleague, Dr. Amy Skinder-Meredith, run an intensive summer day camp for children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and their families. The camp focuses on motor speech, early literacy, language, parent education, and positive well-being. Dr. Potter has given numerous workshops for practicing speech-language pathologists across the country on assessment and treatment of CAS and Childhood Dysarthria (DYS). She earned her PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison under the mentorship of Dr. Ray Kent and Dr. Larry Shriberg.
