KEN MCMANUS, MED, LPC

Ken McManus, MEd, LPC, has built his career addressing the causes and consequences of the many disorders that have become associated with adolescence throughout our culture. He has worked simultaneously as a clinician, school district administrator and community mobilizer, striving to call attention to both the broken systems in which youth are involved as well as the opportunities that exist for deep, sustainable repair. He has authored numerous articles in support of clinical and community interventions, has been a regular contributor in TV, radio and print media, created an indicated intervention program for substance abusing "first offender" middle and high school students, has trained thousands of teachers, parents, law enforcement officers and community leaders, wrote and managed successful grants in direct support of community mobilization and youth engagement and has directed community partners in collaboration for the establishment of policies and practices that serve to reduce youth substance abuse.
