W. DOYLE GENTRY, PHD

W. Doyle Gentry, Ph.D., has spent four decades researching, writing about, and treating anger. His mentors and colleagues include some of America's leading authorities on anger. During his tenure at Duke University Medical School and the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Doyle authored over 100 professional publications, including the Handbook of Behavioral Medicine and self-help books on anger management including Anger Management for Dummies (Wiley). He is a Fellow in APA Division 38 (Health Psychology) and the founding editor of the Journal of Behavioral Medicine, a post he held for 27 years. Doyle is currently the Director of the Institute for Anger-Free Living. His work has been featured in numerous magazines, commercial anger videos and the major motion picture "Anger Management" starring Jack Nicholson.
