KRISTA M. MARCHMAN, MS, EDS, PHD

Krista M. Marchman, M.S., Ed.S., Ph.D., is the founder and director of Educational Consulting Associates, Inc., an independent school psychology practice specializing in diagnostic evaluation and therapeutic consultation for children, adolescents, young adults and their families. She has 20 years of experience in diagnostic evaluation, educational therapy and parenting consultation. Dr. Marchman obtained a Master of Science degree in Psychometrics and Clinical Psychology from Northeast Louisiana University, an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Georgia Southern University, and her Doctorate in Educational Psychology from The Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio. She received her training through the National Professional Consortium in Attention Disorders (NPC) at the Medical Center of Central Georgia's Institute for Developmental Medicine and has done research in the areas of Nonverbal Learning Disabilities (NLD) and Asperger's Syndrome.

Research and training, along with experience in various settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, and inpatient treatment hospitals, has enabled her to become highly specialized in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of neuro-developmental disorders, such as ADHD, learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Disorders and in the differential diagnosis of other co-occurring childhood psychiatric conditions such as childhood bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression. She conducts community workshops and seminars for parents and professionals about learning and attention problems in children and their co-occurring conditions; and holds six-week parenting courses for parents seeking to raise resilient children. In addition to her consulting practice, Dr. Marchman is an adjunct professor at Valencia Community College in Orlando, FL, where she teaches developmental and general psychology courses.
