IRA ISRAEL, LMFT, LPC
Ira Israel, LMFT, LPC, has spent more than 25 years traveling around the world, researching tools for creating a meaningful life: after completing his undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania and Master of Arts degree in Philosophy, Ira moved to Paris to study existentialism. While exploring Asia, Ira became interested in Eastern philosophies, yoga, meditation, and Reiki healing - all of which led to his second Master of Arts degree in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Kabbalah from UCSB. After continuing his studies and practices with a myriad of teachers and healers - as well as becoming a Registered Yoga Teacher 500, certified Yoga Therapist, and Certified Reiki Practitioner - Ira decided to further his academic education with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. Besides his private psychotherapy practice in Los Angeles, Ira teaches mindfulness at several rehabilitation centers in Los Angeles and in his workshops throughout the United States. He is the producer and writer of three DVDs: "Mindfulness for Urban Depression", "Mindfulness Meditations for Anxiety", and "Yoga for Depression and Anxiety."
