Optimize Your Reimbursement and Ensure Compliance
An accurate understanding of the coding, billing and documentation process is critical to ensure that you are paid correctly and in a timely manner. Rehab your Reimbursement covers the new PT & OT evaluation codes for 2017, correct use of CPT codes, L codes for orthotics, and modifiers used by Rehabilitation professionals in all outpatient settings including private practice, hospital-based, rehab agencies, comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and even in a patient's home. This course thoroughly reviews Medicare Part B and other third party payer documentation guidelines for initial evaluations, re-evaluations, progress and discharge reports, daily notes, certifications/recertifications, and plans of care. Resources and references will be provided to help therapists and therapy assistants stay current with the ever-changing reimbursement guidelines and regulations as they pertain to outpatient therapy services.

  • List the required components to bill the appropriate new PT & OT evaluation codes

  • Describe the rationale for the use of CPT and L codes in all outpatient settings

  • Define and distinguish between column 1/column 2 CCI edits
