Course Description:
The pelvic floor region is often one that causes 'fear and anxiety' in the clinician, and it can be a region that goes untreated due to lack of knowledge or skill. This exciting 2-day course will focus on the pelvic region and its relationship with the lumbar spine, hip, abdomen and diaphragm. Hone your skills during the multiple interactive hands-on lab sessions, featuring:

  • Movement dysfunction identification
  • Palpitation and treatment interventions
  • Manual therapy
  • Exercise and self-release techniques

This course will include a review of the anatomy of the lumbo-pelvic region, scanning techniques and interpretation of findings. Take home manual therapy treatment and exercise techniques specific to alleviating pelvic floor contributions to low back, pelvic and hip pain. In addition, you will learn skills to readily identify those patients who may need the advanced skills of a pelvic floor specialist.

Through case studies and hands-on lab sessions, you will leave with the skills you need to comfortably and confidently treat the pelvic floor region and provide necessary treatment interventions to help bring your patient outcomes to the next level.

Add to your therapeutic tool box and begin using these skills in your practice immediately!
Please refer to the course brochure for continuing education information.
