JANE M. CAMPBELL, PhD, NCC, ACS, is a licensed psychologist in the state of Texas, a clinical member of the AAMFT (American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Over her 35 years in the mental health field, she has been in private practice, worked in agencies and schools, has been on the faculties of the University of Houston and the University of Houston-Clear Lake as well as a Visiting Assistant Professor at George Washington University. Dr. Campbell has presented on the local, state, national and international levels and is in demand as a consultant and presenter on the topic of clinical supervision. Her workbook titled Becoming an Effective Supervisor: A Workbook for Counselors and Psychotherapists, published in 2000 by Accelerated Development, has become a must-have resource for clinical supervisors. Her book Essentials of Clinical Supervision, part of the prestigious Essentials of Mental Health Practice series from John Wiley, gives a practical overview of information and techniques for beginning supervisors. For years Dr. Campbell has been presenting seminars on supervision for Cross Country Education where she is well known for her sense of humor and the ability to provide participants with a substantial number of practical ideas and useful techniques for supervision.
