Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes affecting your practice

Determine when you can release confidential information and know how to respond in difficult situations (i.e. receive a subpoena)

Outline mandatory reporting requirements

Explain how to handle various medical record requests including those related to divorce, child custody, couples therapy, and/or requests which may not be in your client's best interest

Illustrate key points in case law and state-specific statutes using clinical case examples

Develop a plan of action for potentially violent or lethal clients

Reduce your risk of complaints, sanctions, and legal liability

Distinguish between a duty to report and a duty to protect
