Frances Patterson, Ph.D., LADAC, MAC, APA Diplomat, BCPC, CCJAS, QSAP, QCS received her BS and MS degrees at Virginia Commonwealth University in the Alcohol and Drug Education Rehabilitation Program, and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at California Southern University. In addition to being a licensed A&D counselor in TN, she is a NAADAC certified Masters Addictions Counselor and Qualified Substance Abuse Professional. She also holds a certification as a Criminal Justice Addictions Specialist with the NAFC. She is board certified as a professional counselor with the American Psychotherapy Association. She is certified in TN as a Clinical Supervisor. She has worked as a counselor and program administrator in treatment programs in VA and TN for 29 years. Dr. Patterson is owner of Footprints Consulting Services, LLC in Nashville. She provides client education, program consultation, professional training, and clinical supervision. She has conducted professional training locally, statewide, and nationally for over 20 years on addictions, mental health, and professional counseling issues. Dr. Patterson is the chair of NAADAC’s clinical issues committee and a member of the ethics committee. 

She served 4 years as SE regional Vice President, is a member of the NAADAC Trainers Academy, and is a NAADAC approved trainer. In 2006 she received the Mel Schulstad award, NAADAC’s national Professional of the Year award. She has published articles in professional magazines and is working on her first book.
