Until now, choices were limited if you wanted to integrate Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) into your patient care. You had to buy expensive tools and attend an expensive class that locked you into one way of utilizing IASTM.

Not anymore.

This hands-on certification program equips you with all the skills you’ll need to begin using IASTM with patients across the continuum of care -- without spending thousands on equipment.
Explore the fundamentals of modern IASTM techniques, and learn how to combine IASTM and functional movement to produce the kinds of active treatment strategies that are revolutionizing rehab. Discover cutting-edge treatments that integrate the latest neuroscience research, and take home highly effective clinical applications of IASTM to improve function and performance with your patients. Instructed by industry-leading clinicians, hands-on labs throughout the program will show you how to get impressive results without aggressive techniques – your patients (and your hands) will thank you!

  • Describe the myofascial sequencing model

  • Identify theoretical constructs behind the science of IASTM

  • Discuss the neuroanatomy of skin and the fascial subsystem

  • Demonstrate movement screening techniques to identify faulty motor patterns

  • Practice IASTM techniques in conjunction with kinesiology taping and functional movement

  • Apply IASTM treatments for scar tissue, fibromyalgia, and many other conditions affecting the upper and lower body, utilizing methods that prevent bruising and hand fatigue

REID NELLES, DC

Reid Nelles, DC, is a chiropractor with a passion to restore and improve qualities of movement in anyone he sees. Dr. Nelles earned his Bachelor of Science from University of Minnesota - Duluth, and he then followed his passion to Northwestern Health Sciences University to pursue a Doctorate in Chiropractic. While attending Northwestern, Reid was fortunate to be chosen for the Medical Staffing of the World Sport Games in Lignano, Italy, which kickstarted his infatuation with sports chiropractic. The day after graduating, Reid and his wife moved down to Golden, Colorado, and there he honed his experience in movement patterns, corrective exercises, and hands-on techniques with the athlete population.

Now, Dr. Reid owns and operates Minnesota Movement, a clinic in Excelsior, Minnesota, that specializes in helping patients become more cognizant of not only their athletic movement patterns, but their day-to-day patterns as well. It is here that Dr. Reid fulfills his role in the community of ensuring that no athlete or person has to skip a work out, bike ride, game, round of golf, day with their kids, or any activity due to injury or pain.
